Removable Partial Dentures |
|
Replacing missing teeth is a decision to maintain a healthy body and smile. When teeth are missing, the adjacent teeth can change position (tip and tilt) and or drift into the space. Teeth that have changed position can cause damage to the tissue and bone in that area. It can also make it more difficult to clean these teeth properly. This can cause a higher risk of gum (periodontal) disease as well as tooth decay. Both of which can increase the risk of losing more teeth.
A removable partial denture will fill in the spaces that missing teeth have created. Replacing these teeth with a removable partial denture will allow more effective chewing, stop movement of the remaining teeth, and help with speech and aesthetics.
